The BackgroundPacific Media House is the sole-trader business of Tom Vierus, a Fiji-based photographer and filmmaker. I specialise in high-end photography and film across environmental photojournalism, conservation storytelling and tourism content, working directly with clients from concept to delivery.
Environmental Storytelling
Environmental storytelling sits at the core of my work. I document conservation projects, research and community initiatives with a strong emphasis on narrative, accuracy and visual impact.
Film Production & Editing
I produce and edit short and mid-length films for NGOs, institutions and tourism clients. This includes concept development, filming, editing and final delivery. All work is handled personally, with trusted collaborators brought in when required.
Collaborations & Support
On selected productions, I also work as a second camera operator or specialist contributor, particularly on conservation and documentary projects requiring field experience in the Pacific.
Tourism Promotion
I create high-end photography and film for resorts, destinations and tourism boards across the Pacific and Asia. My focus is on authentic visual storytelling that reflects place, people and experience.
CONSERVATION PHOTOGRAPHY
I work closely with NGOs, scientists and research institutions to document conservation projects and field research. My approach combines strong visual storytelling with an understanding of context, science and place.
